Questo è un articolo che val la pena di leggere in inglese com’è, duro se non impossibile da tradurre per quel che c’è sotto e tra le parole. Lo scrive chi si definisce “il solito figlio di brava donna bianco” (traducendo a spanne), in realtà, pare, un giornalista che vive da anni con il Popolo e il cui miglior amico è un batterista metà Comanche e metà Kiowa. Anche le foto sono tutte da gustare. Grazie da noialtri Thivah rispettosi e italici.
In my eighth year at The Lawton Constitution, I’ve caught myself reflecting on one of my roles as Native American topics reporter. A role I relish.
Before starting this gig, I lived in a community – Cyril – with a heavy Comanche lineage. It was founded on former Comanche allotments. My best friend and drummer in a late-great- two-piece rock band – Pinto – is half Comanche, half Kiowa. His momma is my Comanche momma. Heck, I knew her before him.
The people I called my friends/family were Comanche. Predating that, as a child, I was consumed with curiosity about the people who were here before us.
It’s amazing how much information and history I learned that was never of use in school.
That’s one of the weird lessons life teaches: No matter what you learn, no matter how useless any knowledge may be, there will always be a moment…

Ritrovato un cimitero Comanche in Texas… con rispetto
Interesting site… Questo sito è interamente dedicato a questioni relative ai nativi americani. Il post che ripubblichiamo parla del casuale ritrovamento di quello che pare essere un cimitero Comanche, in Texas. Molto rispettosamente l’autore dice di non aver voluto disturbare, di esserci finito per caso e chiede a chi sia in grado di intervenire per tutelare l’area…

I have been in contact with a couple that believe, while hunting, they stumbled on an old abused Comanchegrave site? It has been hard getting information because they now believe that it is old privet property used as a deer lease, they both fear the consequences of being on the land however, wish for the graves to be prayed over and restored, if I were still health I would already be on my way alas I can no longer drive from Florida to Texas!
I am going to post this in the hope that someone around the area and can check it out?

Di nuovo in Italia, di nuovo in sella
Sacha con Doc e Jessica con Macho: prima uscita 2013
Eccola qui, la Lupetta rediviva, Stars and Stripes and Doc alive. Dopo un mese passato negli Stati Uniti, dopo la commozione del primo ritorno in sella subito prima di partire, eccola di nuovo in uscita a cavallo insieme a Jessica e al suo Macho.

Un giorno per riambientarsi e Sacha ha cominciato il suo programma di riabilitazione in sella. Dopo cinque mesi di inattività, le cose si fanno per gradi e non ci si lascia prendere dalla foga, aiutata in questo anche dal fatto che pure i cavalli sono rimasti a riposo sin ora (come la moscia muscolatura di Doc in queste foto dimostra).
NON notare le muscolature, ma gli stivali nuovi…
Prime uscite al passo, allora, tanto per ricominciare a prenderci mano (e sedere) e per far riprendere tono ai vari quadrupedi di casa (l’unico sempre in forma è Sky, l’Australian da corsa!). Con questo fine settimana, poi, si ricomincia anche con le lezioni, tutti avvisati:
